The MBTA is planning to update Central Square Station to meet current accessibility requirements. Specifically, the project includes replacing an existing elevator and constructing two new elevators and replacing escalators. The two new elevators and the renovation of the existing elevator require extensive station modifications to accommodate the construction of new shafts and machine and electrical rooms
